Facilities Operations Manager

Location: Lorton, VA
Technica LLC seeks to fill a Facilities Operations Manager position to perform on a Government contract with a place of performance at Lorton, VA.

General Job Description: The Contract Facility Operations Manager is accountable for any damage
or loss of U.S. Government equipment or material only as specified in the contract
governing their performance. However, for purposes of establishing approved
management procedures applicable to warehouse operation, the Manager is responsible
for:
1. Receiving all material related to facilities operations.
2. Maintaining and monitoring tools and equipment used in daily operations.
3. Moderate understanding of commercial HVAC function with occasional trouble
shooting and cost analysis.
4. Scheduling and monitoring escorting details and work completion provided to the
government.
5. Maintaining and editing SharePoint tickets, customer requests, and engineer reports.
6. Assigning and managing engineering tasks with personnel in your team.
7. Assisting the Program Manager with specialized tasks to ensure completion and proper
budget responsibility.
8. Assisting the COR and Program Manager in carrying out his/her responsibilities
relative to these procedures and for keeping this document current. (Note: “Material”
includes consumable supplies. equipment both new and used, and records awaiting
disposal).
 
Requirements:  The Facilities Operations Manager may have a B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited college or
university with at least 10 years of direct facilities management experience. A minimum
of 10 years direct experience managing facility operations and supervising personnel in
government or industry may be substituted for formal education. Knowledge of large
data center operations is preferred. The demonstrated experience shall include the
following areas:
● knowledge of the previsions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.
● experience with architectural design, space planning, furniture layout, and
building renovation
● oversight of fire and safety equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems
● demonstrated working knowledge of building code regulations, commercial
building practices and tools, and facilities layout and planning procedures
● oversight, coordination, and management of various facilities support personnel
(e.g., transportation, administrative, and sub-contractors)
● extensive (10 years or more) experience in managing a staff of 25 or more
employees
● extensive (10 years or more) experience in the commercial construction process
● extensive (10 years or more) experience in Logistics and Government contracting
● conducting inspections, developing facility requirements, and scheduling
personnel and projects.
