Truck Driver

Location: Fort Irwin, CA
Technica LLC is accepting applications for the position of Truck Driver located at Fort Irwin, CA.

Responsibilities:     
  • Read and interpret instructions and documentation; plan work activities accordingly
  •  Transport materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to and from work locations and warehouses
  • Load and unload vehicles
  • Observe and follow all safety rules, traffic regulations, and operating procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment and reporting delays or accidents
  • Maintain vehicle in a safe and clean condition
  • Conduct safety check and inspect all routine fluids on daily basis prior to driving vehicle for first time of each shift
  • Maintain vehicle log and submit daily vehicle deficiencies to supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned
 
Requirements:
  • All employees must be able to pass background and random DOT drug screening
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience driving a tractor-trailer truck
  • Current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) equivalent to a US Class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsement.
  • Skill in driving both automatic and standard transmission vehicles, both straight and combinations trucks, maneuvering tractor-trailer into loading or unloading positions, following hand and arm signals from others, and working as part of a team
  • Skill in coupling and uncoupling trailers, connecting or disconnecting air and electrical lines, and manipulating fifth-wheel locks
  • Good driving record
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to obtain base access
  • Must be a US citizen
Workweek schedule is Monday through Friday from 0730 to 1630.
