Operations Manager

Location: Fort Bliss, Texas
Technica LLC is accepting applications to fill an Operations Manager position to perform on a government contract with a place of performance based at Ft. Bliss, TX.
The Operations Manager reports directly to Technica’s Program Managers (PMs) at Fort Bliss, TX. The operations manager (OM) oversees goods and/or provision of services and ensures the organization is providing efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of customers and clients. The OM has a broad role, and the specific responsibilities will vary based on the Program Managers Guidance, but generally it includes monitoring and analyzing the current system of production or provision to check for effectiveness and working out a strategy for improving if necessary.
While serving as the operations Manager, the individual will manage day-to-day activities with staff, analyzing statistics and reading and writing reports. Operations manager will provide liaising with Branch Managers and presenting findings to PM and higher management as well as training and measuring staff performance.
  • Perform reporting requirements, in accordance with PMs Guidance. This includes monthly performance reporting, inventory reports, weekly reports, TDY trip reports, inspection/timesheet reports, property reports, and any others relevant to the performance of this contract
  • Perform functions relating to program planning, funds control, data collection and analysis, and control techniques
  • Oversee all management, scheduling (Surge/Emergency Operations and Overtime, rescheduling work, and regular work schedules), and contract requirement aspects
  • Performs employee discipline counseling, employee performance reviews, and other personnel reporting
  • Reviews and approves timesheets
  • Ensures all employees observe policy, procedures and regulatory guidance for explosive safety and physical security, and monitors for compliance
  • Make multiple site visit trips throughout project duration and document the inspection results and provide to Technica’s PMs
  • Remains in daily communication with the PMs to remain current on operations and anticipate any requirements to support the site team
  • Directs corrective action as needed, including commitment of resources, adjustment of schedules and staff allocation.
  • Must have a minimum 5-10 years of management experience in Army logistics operations
  • Must have experience with financial management and knowledge of Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS)
  • Must possess general supervisory experience, supply management experience, transportation experience
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in Army HAZMAT operations
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures, and other applicable service regulations.
  • Must understand ISO and quality management system program level functions
  • Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be able to maintain a secret security clearance, as necessary
