Electronics Technician Maintenance III (COMMO)

Location: Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina
Technica LLC is accepting applications for an Electronics Technician Maintenance III to work on a Government contract located at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina
Duties and Responsibilities:    
Perform Technical Inspections (TIs), verification inspections, and preventive maintenance/repairs focused on radios, communication devices and other COMSEC equipment. Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers manuals or similar documents. Uses complex electronic test instruments (such as the EPE 97-1110 AGRS Test Stand), computer based diagnostic equipment and load banks. Performs other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Lead to include providing technical guidance to lower level technicians/mechanics.
  • Former Soldier with prior military occupational skill (MOS) 52C, 52D, 63G, 91C, 91D or ASE Master Technician preferred.
  • Must possess EPA Section 608 Technician Certification. At a minimum Type I Certification is required, although Universal Certification is preferred.
  • Must possess 609 MVAC Technician Certification.
  • Must be able to read electric schematic drawings and interpret its symbols that represent real-world objects.
  • Must have the ability to analyze and interpret US military and/or Commercial Technical Manuals with relation to equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
  • Must have the ability to verify serviceability of equipment, determine the economic reparability of the item and determine the extent of maintenance effort and repair parts required to restore the item to the prescribed serviceable condition.
  • Must be able to obtain NACI.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to lift on an occasional basis a maximum of 70 pounds with frequent or constant lifting of 40 pounds.
  • Able to climb in and out of military/civilian vehicles and related equipment.
  • Able to stand for at least two continuous hours.
  • Able to work in cramped areas for at least two continuous hours.
  • Able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, and snow and sleet.
  • Able to function with a basic level of English oral and written language skills
