Contracts Administrator

Location: Charleston, SC
The Contracts Administrator administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts, task orders and subsequent amendments/modifications. This position is responsible for monitoring company performance for conformance to original proposal and maintains continual reviews to ensure that all terms and conditions are met and that the contract is in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations. 
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with Company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. 
  • Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. 
  • Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information. 
  • Prepares and disseminates information throughout the organization regarding contract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, and termination. 
  • Initiates documentation to authorize and direct work in accordance with contractual specifications. 
  • Maintains contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, customer contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports and other documents for all projects. 
  • Participates in teaming agreement and strategic marketing alliance negotiations between company and outside sources.

  • Creative problem-solver with effective resolution ability and analytical skills
  • Proficient to advanced PC Skills including (but not limited to) MS Excel, email, internet and customized database management
  • Must be able to read and/or contractual regulations and requirements correctly with minimal oversight
  • Must demonstrate organization and prioritization skills to manage time and meet deadlines
  • Accomplish goals with little or no supervision, dependent on self to complete objectives and determine when escalation of issues is necessary.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor level degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of contract administration experience in a federal contracting environment
  • Advanced Microsoft excel skills highly preferred
