Travel Clerk I

Location: Fort Bliss, TX
Technica LLC seeks to fill a Travel Clerk I position to perform on a Government contract with a place of performance at Ft. Bliss, TX.


The duties and responsibilities of the Travel Clerk I: Perform transportation duties to facilitate government sponsored personal property shipments. Serves as a tier level team member in duties and tasks involving receipt, storage, issue and shipment of personal property. Follow clearly detailed specific procedures in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence. Operate basic office equipment, e.g., photocopier, facsimile, multi-line phone/voicemail systems, mailing machines, and minimal computer programs. Familiar with the terminology of the office unit. Performs various aspects of clerical work such as storage management, cataloging, code, label and file documents in an extensive alphabetical file. Select appropriate methods from a wide variety of procedures or makes simple adaptations and interpretations of a limited number of substantive guides and manuals. Refer recognized problems to others. Performs other duties as assigned. Maintain a safe work record.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year relevant experience.
  • Must possess excellent mathematical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiar with Department of Defense Transportation and Travel Regulations
  • Must be able to read, interpret, comprehend, retain, and execute pertinent Travel regulations.
  • Must be able to operate keyboard, controlled data entry devices, typewriter and other office machines
  • Past experience requires 2 years minimum expertise in multiple computer software programs.
  • Experience in the operation of all office machines required.
  • Extremely customer focused and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to brief small and large groups of people.
