Supply Technician

Location: Ft. Wainwright, AK
Technica LLC seeks to fill a Supply Technician position to perform on a Government contract with a place of performance at Ft. Wainwright, AK.

Tasks include but are not limited to: 
  • Manage unit hand receipts
  • Perform asset adjustments, lateral transfers and update authorizations on the property book
  • Request equipment items
  • Follow-up and cancel supply transactions
  • Post supply status and receipt information to the activity register
  • Create and print hand receipt, property book and activity register reports. Receives, stores, and issues various materials.
  • Physically inventories materials by inventory documentation in conjunction with requirements for supply activities coordinates with appropriate personnel if discrepancies are found.
  • Marks and stores material in racks and or containers.
  • Responsible for receiving deliveries; unpacking boxes; inventory and inspecting items; and reports unsatisfactory or damaged goods.
  • Must be licensed and trained on the operation of MHE, such as forklift, for supply operations. 

This position performs aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.

Other duties as assigned or related to the overall operation of the section/branch that the position is assigned to perform in.

Assignments requires:  
  • Possess knowledge of standardized supply regulations, policies and procedures or other applicable guidance relating to receipt and/or issue of stock or property items.
  • Possess knowledge of PBUSE data entry screens or applicable LIS. 
  • A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
  • An understanding of the needs of the organization/units serviced.
  • Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data, to establish the facts, and to take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, snow, and sleet.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, and other established guidelines
  • Deals with a variety of operating officials regarding limited aspects of program needs of the organization serviced.  May contact representatives of commercial firms to obtain information regarding new items of supply, item characteristics, or procurement lead time; or representatives of government agencies (Federal, State or local) regarding the utilization of property.
