Supply Technician - Ammunition Supply

Technica LLC seeks to fill the position of Supply Technician (Ammunition Supply).

Responsibilities
  • Receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, or tools, and compiles stock records of items in stockroom, warehouse or storage yard
  • Locating and moving materials and parts between work area to expedite processing of goods, according to pre-determined schedules and priorities.
  • Assisting in receipt, storage, issue, maintenance, modification, destruction and demilitarization of explosive items.
  • Performs ammunition supply stock control and accounting duties using both automated and manual procedures.
  • Operates MHE to maneuver ammunition.
  • Sorts through collected expended ammunition and debris for recyclable materials and separates items into established categories such as aluminum, brass and ferrous metals.
  • Discards contaminants and other items that cannot be recycled.
  • Verifies materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents
  •  Noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages
  • Routing materials to prescribed storage locations
  • Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods
  • Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials
  • Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage
  • Constructing and repairing boxes, pallets, wood bracing to be used in shipping and storage, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Must have Four (4) years of experience handling ammunition and explosives (A&E).
  • Previous Military experience as MOS 89A, 89B, 89D, or 18C (Army), 2W0X1 (Air Force), NOS A420 (Navy) or 2311 (Marine Corps).
  • Must have a working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
  • Have the appropriate training and experience to operate within the Ammunition Supply Point. Special Training required per AMC-R 350-4.
  • This worker will be trained and licensed on the operation of hand or power trucks and MHE for performing warehousing duties.
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, snow, and sleet.
  • Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must possess a current and valid state driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be physically and mentally capable of handling ammunition and explosives.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of policies, procedures, handling, storage and hazards associated with ammunition and explosives.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to squat or kneel on continuous occasions.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting to 50 pounds.
