Security Manager

Location: Charleston, SC
Technica is recruiting for a Security Manager to provide corporate facility, personnel and information security support.
The Corporate Security Manager will act as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) for the company. This position be responsible for developing, implementing, and administering Technica’s Facility and Personnel Security Programs.  This position performs periodic security inspections, processes clearances/base access, assigns and tracks training assignments, develops and maintains the security programs for the company and ensures compliance with all security requirements to support Technica’s contracts. This position is also responsible for developing, implementing, and executing IT security policies for the company.
Specific Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Facility/Personnel Security
    • Maintain Technica’s Security Program (OPSEC, Insider Threat, Standard Security Process) in accordance with NISPOM and contract requirements.
    • Prepare for and lead security vulnerability assessments (SVA) preparation and meetings with Defense Security Services (DSS) Industrial Security Representatives.
    • Develop training materials (Insider Threat, Security Initial/ Refresher/ Debrief, etc.) for employees; assign training; track training
    • Assist with new hires/positions requiring security clearances; Obtain clearance justification from contract project management, if clearance is required for an employee.
    • Develop contract-specific Common Access Card (CAC) processes for each newly awarded contract. Facilitate CAC processing for personnel that require a CAC including administering documentation and process instructions to employees and subcontractors.
    • Manage background investigation process; Initiate background investigations at the appropriate level; Document employee notice of e-QIP application reviews; Assist employees with e-QIP applications.
    • Assist employees in completing any specific base access/contract required forms.
    • Use JPAS for personnel security tasks; Manage adverse information reporting process; Conduct variance reports on from JPAS on a quarterly basis; Conduct review of PCLs for upcoming periodic reinvestigation; Complete visit requests as needed; in/out-process PCLs
    • Perform self-inspections on a semi-annual basis
    • Assign refresher and insider Threat briefings on an annual basis; track all training
    • Ensure compliance with NISPOM with conforming changes and ISLs
  • Information Security
    • Implement company’s information security policy across multiple locations.
    • Develop training materials (Cyber Security); assign training; track employee training.
    • Develop processes to minimize the use of PII in company operations.
    • Asset management of laptops, tablets and mobile devices access for all employees.
    • Implement and execute an IT help desk program for all employees (receive, track and resolve help desk tickets).
    • Assist in other IT support functions as necessary for company operations.
  • Must have 3-5 years working with industrial security programs.
  • Must have experience preparing for and leading Technica’s team in security vulnerability assessments (SVAs) with Defense Security Services (DSS)
  • Must have experience supporting information technology administration and information security functions.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Joint Personnel Adjudicative System (JPAS) and ability to comprehend upcoming migration to DISS.
  • Must be capable of working in a fast work environment and capable of multi-tasking.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
  • Understand the importance of sensitivity to confidential matters.
