Systems Analyst

Location: Albany, GA
Technica is recruiting for a Systems Analyst to perform on a Government contract with a place of performance on Albany, GA.

The Systems Analyst position is responsible for analysis and execution of batch programs, verification of transmission and receipt of interface files, and functional processing. The Systems Analyst/Programmer is responsible for detailed analysis of file counts, transfer of files to archive folders, identifying and removing duplicate files, executing and monitoring batch processes, updating procedure guides, and reporting on and supporting necessary actions required to ensure compliance with the prescribed schedule of events.

The Systems Analyst is responsible for performing the following duties, but not limited to:
-Set up, execute, and report status of batch procedures following detailed guides. Document errors and other events that may require additional investigation by the database administrator, system administrator, analysts, or other programmers.
-Perform quality assurance testing on software to ensure that all requirements are met and the application performs as required in the operational environment. -Learn and execute basic UNIX commands.
-Work with stakeholders, team members and sponsors to manage application software including, but not limited to Oracle Fusion Middleware. 
-Installing application software over a variety of OS software and configure per instructions/customer’s request.
-Configuring application software to perform optimally.
-Uninstalling application software. -Integrating application software with DBMS(s), risk mitigation/monitoring agents.
-Installing application software and connect to web servers, other application servers, database management software or storage devices.
-Applying IA policies.
-Reading/listening to written/verbal instructions to upgrade application programs.
-Supporting application co-hosting in a clustered environment.
-Knowledge and familiarity of LUN, file systems, disks, zones and other storage medial on various storage devices in a RAID.
-Designing, managing, implementing and configuring Virtual hosting software to support co-hosting multiple applications, DBMS(s), business applications or OS(s).
-Integrating application software to OS(s), DBMS(s), and business applications, monitoring agents, risk mitigation agents, backup/recovery agents, network devices and storage devices.
-Creating/Maintaining/Updating/Closing Incidents to coordinate incident resolution with the LOGCOM C4 or MDMC Service Desks via a Service Desk or Project Management solution such as Altiris or Remedy.

General Experience: General Experience: 
  • Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the Software Analytical & Programming Support and the PWS, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. 
  • Three years (3) experience that provided knowledge of the standardization of operating procedures, generate detail/summary plans of actions and milestones, facilitate requirements management/gathering sessions, generate/execute systems specification documents, generate/execute technical design documents, generate/execute test plans (unit and system integration), generate/execute implementation plans, perform functional, system and technical analysis and design, instruction sets, and document (functional & technical) the sustainment and maintenance of software applications and systems which includes application software written in many languages.
  • Personnel assigned to this task shall have knowledge of programming languages constructs, commands, and syntax and industry standard testing best practices.
Specialized Experience:
  • Examples of qualifying specialized experience include the following programming  languages but not limited to: AJAX; ASP; C programming; client-side JavaScript; Client-side VBScript; COBOL using oracle SQL*plus; C-shell; CSS; HTML (Versions 4.0 and Above); Java; Java Bean; Java Server Pages (JSP); JavaScript; Lexical Analyzer (LEX); NAWK; Oracle Forms/Reports (Versions 10g and Above); Oracle PL/SQL; PHP; SED; Unix Scripting including Korn Shell; Visual Basic and Visual Basic .NET.
  • Provides knowledge and expertise in industry standards including, but not limited to American National Standards Institute (ANSI) X12 protocol for electronic data interchange (EDI).
