Laborer - Temporary

Location: Fort Belvoir, Virginia

Technica LLC is recruiting for a Laborer on a Government contract based out of Ft. Belvoir, VA.  This a temporary position.

Responsibilities
  • This person will perform physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise.  
  • Duties involve one or more of the following: manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices; unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations; or transporting goods by hand truck or cart.
Qualifications
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass base access.
  • Must be an U.S. citizen.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Lift on an occasional basis a maximum of 70 pounds with frequent or constant lifting of 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to push, carry, and provide force for moving material
  • Maybe required to perform duties in adverse weather conditions, as well as in locations or storage area consisting of dusty and dirty environments.
  • Must be able to stand for at least four continuous hours.
  • Must be able to work in cramped areas for at least two continuous hours.
