Assistant Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Fort Bliss, Texas
Technica is recruiting for an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to work on a Government contract with a place of performance based out of Ft. Bliss, TX.
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  
 
·       Monitors the Command Maintenance Discipline Program (CMDP); conducts inspections as required.
·       Supervises the actions and total maintenance effort in the absence of the Supervisor.
·       Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) on equipment requiring repairs and determine the reparability of items based on the Maintenance Expenditure Limit (MEL).
·       Directly responsible for the management, supervision and training of personnel assigned to the section.
·       Identifies technical training shortfalls; when necessary, trains mechanics or QC Inspector assigned to accurately diagnose/troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic malfunctions accurately using the latest equipment, technical manuals (TM), and procedures available.
·       Validate customers’ estimated cost of damage (ECOD) and actual cost of damage (ACOD) for repairs; ensures vehicle/equipment condition classifications, ECODs and ACODs are completed in accordance with DA PAM 750-8.
·       Organizes maintenance workflow efficiency, troubleshooting and repairs.
·       Primarily responsible for enforcing safety and environmental standards in conjunction with maintenance operations.
·       Directs the production control functions for all maintenance and supply actions, including opening and closing direct support job orders, status changes, and requisition of Class IX for Garrison, Base Ops, Fort Bliss Fire Department, DPTMS, Maintenance, Transportation and Supply Division’s equipment.
·       Supervises the scheduling and performance of scheduled services (maintenance plans) of Garrison, Base Ops, Fort Bliss Fire Department, DPTMS, Maintenance, Transportation and Supply Division’s equipment.
·       Prioritizes the maintenance workload based on priorities received from the Supervisor.
·       Interfaces daily with the Supervisor to receive guidance on job orders, mission requirements, and administrative requirements; and directs Shop Leads based on this guidance; discusses actions required and resolves potential conflicts for each open job order with the Production Control Supervisor.
 
 
 
·       Performs employee discipline counseling, employee performance reviews, and other personnel reporting’s.
·       Reviews and approve employee timesheets.
·       Screen applicants and conducts interviews for open position.
·       Ensures all employees observe policy, procedures and regulatory guidance for physical security, and monitors for compliance.
 
Requirements:
  • Former US Army Maintenance Supervisor (MOS 63X or 91X) ideal.
  • Must have at least five years of supervisory experience, a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in The Army Maintenance Management Systems (TAMMS).
  • Must have knowledge in completing necessary documentation such as DA Forms 2404/5988E Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Worksheet, DA Form 2407 Maintenance Request, DA Form 2407–1 Maintenance Request Continuation Sheet, DA Form 7723 Maintenance Expenditure Limit Waiver, DA Form 461-5 Vehicle Classification Inspection, and other applicable DA/DoD forms.
  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of applicable program relationships, concepts and methodologies pertaining fleet maintenance operations.
  • Must possess operational skill and knowledge of the automated supply systems utilized, specifically the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A)
  • Ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others.
  • Skill in written and oral presentations.
  • Capability to adjust work operations to meet emergency or changing program or production requirements within available resources and with minimum sacrifice to quantity and quality of work.
  • Ability to establish program objectives or performance goals and assess progress.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
