Technica LLC seeks to fill the position of Heavy Equipment Mechanic on a Government contract with a place of performance at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
Job Description:
The Mechanic analyzes malfunctions and repairs, rebuilds and maintains power equipment, such as cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors and pneumatic tools. This worker operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects, dismantles and reassembles equipment, using hoists and hand tools, examines parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges, replaces defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions, and tests overhauled equipment to insure operating efficiency. The mechanic welds broken parts and structural members, may direct workers engaged in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment, and may repair, adjust and maintain mining machinery, such as stripping and loading shovels, drilling and cutting machines, and continuous mining machines.
 
Job Requirements:
●      Must have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
●      Must be familiar with AR 7501, AR 7355, DA PAM 7508, and other Army Regulations applicable to maintenance services.
●      Must be familiar with Technical Manuals (TMs), MAC times, engineering standards, and regulatory standards.
●      Must be able to comply with state licensing requirements and local motor vehicle laws. Employees assigned to operate government
owned or government-leased equipment must be certified as being fully qualified to operate the vehicles or equipment to which they are assigned. This position may require personnel to operate government-furnished vehicles or equipment, which will require a valid state driver's license or a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
●      If welding is required, personnel must be certified in accordance with American Welding Society (AWS)
●      Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) certification may be required.
●      Shall obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance, if required.
